How it works: The original cartridges (starter Cartridges) that accompany the printer with its purchase, usually have a small or at most half the amount of toner, if we simply refill these cartridges, the printer does not see them full but continues to see them empty, becausethey lack the specific component (lever) which of course is present in the other commercial cartridges. By inserting the accessory we can reset the cartridge counter, so by filling the cartridges with toner, the printer will recognize them as new.

The accessory is needed only in the original cartridges (starter Cartridges) in which it is absent. If your cartridges were purchased later (commercially) they have it and you do not need to buy it.
